Here is a box….

trumpton….a musical box, wound up and ready to play. But this box can hide a secret inside. Can you guess what is in it today? The death of Gordon Murray was a small sad note in a week of cataclysmic changes in our nation and beyond. It is not one that should pass without comment though. One of my colleagues was actually commenting on Trumpton a few days before Gordons death was announced. The reason for the link is that we are equipping a new control centre for Surrey Fire and Rescue and of course the centre piece in Trumpton was the fire brigade. Our offices are based very close to the epicentre of Trumpton (Plumpton), Camberwick Green (Wivelsfield Green) and Chigley (Chailey) and as a business we regular carry out work in all of these villages. The first of the 39 episodes was broadcast just after my family purchased a TV when I was 5 and so they were something of a mainstay of my early years education. Many thanks for your work Gordon, Rest in Peace.
