Sadly our new Government is way past “seem” to be confused by their role

GoveIn the absence of a Parliament being convened, the Government inevitably has to turn to the mainstream media  (MM) such as the BBC and Channel 4 to get its views communicated. The challenge then is for the people who speak on TV to do so with some level of clarity or else the risk is their inadequate views are what is communicated to the rest of us. The wrong and sad aspects of his discussions with the EU are a bit nuanced and sadness could of course mean a great deal of things – sad that they are having to have discussions about Brexit Three and a quarter years after the promise that Michael made on 21st June 2016 on BBC Radio 4 that if we vote to leave on Thursday, we will be on our way in control of our future by Friday. However his claims that the EU “seems to be saying they’re not interested” and “seems to be refusing to negotiate with the UK” both “seem” to lack any credibility or consistency with the position that Michael Gove claimed to have back in June 2016 or indeed that he claimed to have when we was campaigning to be the next Prime Minister when he stated “I believe that I’m ready to unite the Conservative and Unionist Party, ready to deliver Brexit, and ready to lead this great country.”

Perhaps what he intended to say was I seem to believe that I’m ready to unite the Conservative and Unionist Party, ready to deliver Brexit, and ready to lead this great country
