Zoopla and Superdry are making a very helpful statement

The news that these two business leaders along with 58 others have made a statement to support the Liberal Democrat party is vital as we are now less than two weeks away from what could turn out to be the most challenging election in many years, and indeed several decades. If the Conservative Party as it is currently formed achieve an overall majority we will face a level of national destruction that will not have been seen since the mid 1970’s. There is a great deal of credibility in this statement but in my view it does not go far enough. We need people to vote for the best candidate in their community and in some cases this will certainly be a Liberal Democrat. In others it will be a Green candidate and in others an Independent. Indeed there will be excellent SNP, Plaid Cymru and others in Northern Ireland. The truth is some of the Conservative and Labour candidates will also be very competent providing they are willing to work with people from other parties and Independents.

As the tragic events of yesterday exploded into our awareness, it became clear that what is needed in our nation is a much more coherent and unified Government than either the Labour or Conservative Party’s are currently capable of providing. The Tories of course are very happy to keep on talking about unity across our nation and throughout Parliament but their actions and other statements demonstrate how effectively Johnson and his team are as public liars despite his recent claims he has never told a lie in the whole of his life.
