Many thanks Caroline, Peter, Lloyd and Rosie

It is very difficult to ignore the damage that our departure from the European Union will make to our economy and social needs. However if we are to leave the EU as 52% of the electorate in 2016 determined, it is vital that we leave in the most effective manner possible. It appears that the horrendous result of the General Election on 12th December has given the Prime Minister the confidence to make the basis for our departure far more damaging and threatening than was appropriate. So although Parliament has overwhelmingly backed the deceitful Johnson who claimed he was commited to national unity, than goodness that 4 of the MPs across Sussex, Surrey and Kent had the guts to vote against this appalling set of proposals.

The number of MPs in our region voting against this appalling proposal amount to less than 10% which is far fewer than the people who voted to remain in the UK in 2016 and if the public were invited to give their view, it is likely that more than 50% would have opposed this action!
