So Victoria, what has occurred over the last 15 weeks?

On Wednesday David Lammy asked a question that quite reasonably came after all of the Tory MPs in our nation including 13 in Sussex voted to prevent the amendment to improve the prospect of children who are refugees from being reunited with their parents. The starting point in Victoria’s response sounded very encouraging “The Government remains resolutely committed to the principle of family reunion” However it would appear that the rest of her response until the final sentence shown here was pretty inconsistent with her first sentence. The final sentence was “The Home Secretary wrote to the European Commission on 22 October to begin negotiations” So the real question then Victoria is what has happened in the last 15 weeks since Priti Patel wrote to the European Commission? Has any progress taken place. If not, given we now only have about 10 months to go, why did MPs in Sussex choose to ignore this vital issue that the Government claims to be committed to, and which is missing from the current EU Withdrawal Bill?

Perhaps along with the need for Victoria to explain what has happened in the last 15 weeks, the local MPs will be willing to explain what will now happen?
