It is clearly very disturbing that some of the 7 people sent over to Jamaica yesterday morning were not fit to travel. However even more disturbing is that the other 83 people who had been sent to go were brought back from the airplane because they should not have been deported. Will Priti Patel and her senior leadership team be held to account for this appalling situation? How can we challenge the Department? There is a story related to this occasion here in the Guardian. We clearly need this to be raised in other settings. Perhaps Parliament should be restarted to ensure that this will never happen again! To use a plane of this size to send 7 people away into a setting which did not welcome it, when some of the 7 people were not fit to travel is very disturbing. That some of them along with a number of the other 83 are viewed to have been involved in Windrush is even more disturbing.
