Over the last few years I have signed numerous petitions and some of them have made a significant challenge onto the Government. So back nearly two months ago on 28th June I set out this petition which is a clear call to endorse the request by a small group of MPs for the Government to fund the distribution of surplus food through charities like the FareShare. Sadly although the MPs and indeed one of the DEFRA Ministers clearly called for this funding back in April, on the 18th June the Government decided to ignore this call. So here is our opportunity to call for the Government to support the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee. So far there has been nearly 1,300 signatures.
