The Government needs to admit its incompetence

Assuming that this piece of news today is correct, we now need to find a way to challenge the Government on a number of other themes. However what is vital is that the Government admits its incompetence. This is particularly important in the run up to COP26 which takes place next week. As I wrote yesterday the Sussex MPs who voted against the Government included all three of the Brighton and Hove MPs and both of the Worthing MPs along with Huw Merriman who is the Bexhill and Battle MP. Two MPs did not vote at all and so Eastbourne and Horsham also stayed away. In terms of the other MPs who voted several are members of the Government so they need to stand up and admit their incompetence. However they also need to apologise to the call they made to Nusrat Ghani, Sally-Ann Hart, Andrew Griffith and Nick Gibb. All four of these people will no doubt need to apologise to their constituents for not taking the same approach that the other MPs did last week.
