I am very proud of both of these BHCC Councillors

Finding ways for political groups to work together is not always easy. This is particularly the case when political parties are encouraged by some of their supporters to reject another group that they have not wanted to join. However as on facebook yesterday I saw this piece from Nancy Platts who was for some time the leader of the Labour Party in Brighton and Hove. As it happens along with my connection with Nancy over many years I have also met online Martin Osborne and I know that Nancy and Martin are both keen to find ways of linking joint working between the Green and Labour Party’s. I am not a member of either of their political party’s but I am keen for them to find ways to work together in Brighton and Hove and indeed across the whole of Sussex and beyond into our nation. I am also keen for the Liberal Democratic Party and indeed for Independent candidates who are willing to work together on the same themes. Anyway back to the piece on Nancy’s facebook.

I really enjoyed the trip to Morningside Arena Leicester organised by Ricky Perrin so we could see the potential for bringing the Sussex Bears Basketball Team back to Brighton. I represented the Labour Group of Councillors and Martin Osborne the Green Group. I hope we can achieve the goal (see what I did there?) by working together. Seriously though, this project is all about opening up sport for the community by making it accessible and affordable. Let’s make it happen!
