Earlier today Jon Stone, an Independent Newspaper journalist who is a Policy Correspondent and covers areas including EU affairs, climate, transport, economic, social and politics has written a piece that can be found here called Corruption experts warn Boris Johnson’s government is worst since WWII. The piece begins with the statement that
Experts have warned that Boris Johnson’s administration is more corrupt “than any UK government since the Second World War. Researchers at Sussex University’s Centre for the Study Corruption warned that the “absolute failure of integrity at No 10” could have potentially serious consequences for the UK if allowed to fester.
The piece then introduces Robert Barrington who is the University of Sussex Professor of Anti-Corruption Practice. According to the Sussex website based here
Robert Barrington is Professor of Anti-Corruption Practice at the Centre for the Study of Corruption in the University of Sussex. He was formerly the head of Transparency International (TI) in the UK, the world’s leading anti-corruption NGO, and is currently Chair of TI’s International Council.
I agree entirely with Robert Barrington and I am very pleased that a Sussex educational person is making this statement. I am sure that the Brighton and Hove MPs, Caroline Lucas, Peter Kyle and Lloyd Russell-Moyle will all agree with Robert, I suspect that Tim Loughton does as well. It would be good to find out if any of the other Sussex MPs agree with him.
