It seems very disturbing for one of the highest profile Government Minister roles to involve someone who is making such a disturbing public comment. I and indeed many people are very unhappy at the suggestion that her predecessor created to transfer Asylum seeking people who are wanting to come to our nation are being sent over to Rwanda. My first comment about that was back in April and is based here. When Suella Braverman took on the role a few weeks ago many of us hoped that she would be willing to reject the plan, but sadly she has not done so. It would seem very clear that both Priti Patel and Suella Braverman are from families that have sought the UK for Asylum in the past and yet the plan for their strategy is to transfer Asylum Seekers to Rwanda and based on what Priti Patel has indicated, that they will then be assessed in Rwanda and whether they are genuine or not, they will be expected to remain in Rwanda. This is very disturbing and so is the comment from Suella Braverman speaking to people in this weeks Conference.
