The 7 largest EDM events from Parliament in 2022

During 2022 the MPs selected a total of 1,123 Early Day Motions and every one of them was invited to be signed by MPs that are not Ministers. There has only been 7 of the whole 1,123 EDMs that received 80 or more signatures. One of these 7 that received more than 80 signatures was an EDM which promotes the Funding for fire and rescue services. This was selected at the 21st November and it is the most recent of any of these significant EDMS. Indeed only one other achieved more than 80 signatures that was established since September. That one is the Financial restitution to women born in the 1950s which was selected in 11th October 2022. The other five units were selected before 17th May which was the date of the Specialist Huntington’s Disease Services. It will be interesting to see what will happen in 2023. The Funding for fire and rescue services EDM which was selected by Mary Kelly Foy is selected in this blog a few weeks away.
