A fantastic Dad and a Birthday celebration

W%20-%20alistaircampbell_1721720_mid (2)This is a photo of Alistair Campbell and his daughter Charlotte, both from New Zealand. Charlotte has just had a bright pink Cochlear implant fitted and so Alistair decided as a mark of solidarity with his daughter to have his head shaved and the image of a cochlear implant tattooed on his head. Apparently Charlotte giggled and said the tattoo was cool when she first saw it. Although Alistair plans to let his hair grow back for the moment, he will get it shaved again if Charlotte wants to see the tattoo. The story comes from this edition of Hearing Times. Although there is no link, apart from timing, this story emerged in the last few days, and today it is the 80th birthday of Australian Dr Graeme Clark who invented the multi-channel Cochlear implant. Two amazing men from the same Continent!
