The failure to solve the barbaric murder of PC Keith Blakelock who died 30 year and 3 months ago today on the Streets of Tottenham continues to act as a stain on the reputation of a community that deserves better. His widow Elizabeth deserves to know that his murderers have been brought to justice, her dignity despite all she has suffered is amazing. His colleagues, particularly those who served with him on the day as part of serial 502 deserve to know that those people who ended the life of their friend have been prosecuted and sentenced. To date at least 359 people have been arrested for the murder and there have been at least two trials of men and boys accused of the murder and one of two Police Officers who were acquitted for perverting the course of justice. The innocent amongst those 359 and any others who have been investigated deserve to know that they are not under suspicion, even now 30 years later. It is vital that those who know who the 30-50 people who took part in the attack are, and that they are brought to justice for their murderous deed. The Community deserves to regain its reputation as a place open to all.
