-That we need to see more often! The sign is a symbol for a toilet that is fully accessible. It is the symbol used by the  Changing Places Consortium who launched a campaign in 2006 on behalf of the 1/4 of a million people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. This includes people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy. To date there are 828 toilets in the UK that are part of the scheme and have been built to meet the standards set by Changing Places. There are three toilets in the Brighton area, and a few more elsewhere in Sussex. However someone travelling to Brighton and Hove would have to find their way to the Level or Brighton seafront or the Amex stadium. Surely it is time for Hove to gain their first Changing Places Toilet. Also what about Brighton Station, after all the redevelopment that has taken place on the station site, surely a fully accessible loo is not too much to ask for?
