Thank you for all you did last night

nightEvery weekend in most of our major towns and cities the night time economy is supported by a range of volunteers who give up their time to keep the party goers, stag do’s and other drinkers and dancers safe. Its hard to imagine how different things were 15 years ago before the Street Pastors and Street Angels were established, before the various types of safe spaces, safe buses and other field hospital and places of refuge were established which often in. In Brighton we also have a quad bike beach patrol that ensures that people heading towards the water are encouraged to turn around. This all happens to keep my children and your children safe. Thank you all of you.

Along with these volunteers we have others who volunteer to work within our police force and at our hospitals. Add to these the paid staff at the Police and NHS. All of these people are working hard to deal with the worst excesses of our communities, and keep people safe. Thank you, all!
