I am still waiting

petitionLast weekend a couple of tweets appeared from MPs disclosing that they were willing to break the rules of the Houses of Parliament and share their computer passwords with their administrative staff. It inevitably caused a big stir on twitter so I set out to form a petition which would call on the Houses of Parliament to carry out an audit of all MPs and Peers to find out how well they apply cyber security rules and procedures. The petition was submitted for the process to approve it very early on Monday morning (before the office was opened). To be fair the response did state it could take up to a week to determine if the petition was acceptable and here we are on Friday Morning with no news. The text for the blog is above, the tweets are below, and the link to the unapproved petition is here which you can sign if you approve of the wording. In case readers of my blog are wondering what has happened, this is intended to update them. If matters change today I will no doubt issue an updated blog. In the meantime have a great Friday!
