Parliament must put its own house in order!

cyberA month or so ago when Damian Green was still in Theresa May’s Cabinet, two well known names in the Tory Party defended him from the accusations against him regarding his use of computers to download pornography 9 years earlier. Their defence was based not on what went on in Parliament in the mid noughties when the porn was found but on what went on in their offices in 2017. They both claimed that the passwords used on their office computers were shared around the office amongst their staff and even interns. At the time I persuaded 5 people to back my petition which can be found here. Since then another 30 or so people have signed the petition so it is unlikely to go very far unless some people are willing to help promote it on social media in the next few weeks. Despite all this a few days ago the above website emerged to encourage the rest of society to do what Nadine and Nick have proudly boasted that they don’t do, which is ensure that they adopt a cyber secure home and work environment. I support the campaign which can be found here, but hope that the people running this campaign will also get behind the suggestion in my petition, that Parliament needs to get its own house in order.
