Watch her lips and listen to what she says

Apprentices PMQ 7th MarchThis image comes from a fantastically useful website called ‘They Work for You’ which takes the transcripts from Parliament and presents them in a way that assists people to follow the words or the speakers in a very simple manner. This piece comes from Prime Ministers Questions on 7th March and followed a question asked by Gillian Keegan who is the MP for Chichester, on the subject of Apprenticeships. The follow up question by Emma Reynolds could not be simpler, at least as far as questions go. Sadly Prime Ministers and indeed any Minister in the Government seem entitled to ignore such questions and move onto a subject they wish to focus on. It is a shame that there is no way of preventing this sort of abuse of power. After all Parliament is supposed to hold the Government of the day to account. Its not doing a great job in the light of this example.
