After 28 months, with 160 days left we must suspend Article 50 and go back to the people!

Dp7w7TdWoAASvNDA recent suggestion by Nick Boles on Channel 4 news that as an interim solution to respect the people who voted to leave the EU whilst at the same time recognising that the Irish border issue is unresolved is that our nation should remain in the EEA and join EFTA alongside Norway. This is as I understand it a mistake, primarily because there is a customs border between Norway and Sweden. However if Nick is correct then of course it is a meaningful option to be seriously considered. However Norway has open borders as far as movement of people is concerned so the solution carries with it a number of problems. Although I would prefer to remain inside the EFTA than not join it, I would prefer to remain in the EU providing the rest of the states are willing to agree to reforms. What seems clear to me is that we need to give the nation a chance to vote for a meaningful option as a matter of priority which is why I support the call for a peoples vote.
