A man who almost led our Nation

IDS.pngWhen one considers the political career of Iain Duncan Smith, it becomes clear that we would have paid a huge price had he succeeded as leader of his party and remained in place until 2005 and won the General Election.  His latest incompetence emerged in an article in the Telegraph which he wrote about last night referring to the proposal by Theresa May as the Brexit agreement which he claims is completely the proposals of the EU “The Prime Minister should at once tell the EU this is unacceptable and it will not get through the House of Commons. She should demand that we pursue a different course, one that keeps our borders open without border checks and doesn’t require membership of the customs union” Now one can make all sorts of arguments about Brexit but to pretend that any Nation can have open borders to another Nation or group of Nations without a customs agreement or union or a trade agreement is complete nonsense and Iain Duncan Smith does not deserve to have his views published in a newspaper that is supposed to be credible!
