Internal party tension in Sussex Conservative Party

Sussex ToriesSo we now have a clear indication that two of our Tory MPs have written letters to get rid of Theresa May and three of our Tory MPs are Government Ministers who have  either not chosen to resign or in the case of Amber have chosen to return to the front bench in order to prop up the Government. This leaves five Tory MPs who are neither Ministers or feel strong enough about Theresa that they want her to go so presumably they are acting as buffers between Henry and Maria and Nick, Nusrat and Amber. Even within their constituencies the tension is evident. A friend of mine who is a Tory Councillor posted on facebook to support the current proposal from Theresa May and his MP is one of the two who have written a letter alongside Rees-Mogg and Whittingdale. Within a short period party members had chosen to criticise the Councillor and one suspects there may be others who oppose the MP. Perhaps it is time for the Sussex MPs and their parties to hold a winter Barbecue or some other social event to reduce the tension in the local party so they can begin to consider how crashing us out of the EU will damage Sussex residents and businesses. Although I have never voted Tory in my life, the fact that 63% of our local MPs are Conservatives means that when they are suffering from tension, it will have a negative impact on our community!
