My blog yesterday focused on the unwillingness of the Department for Transport to answer a very simple and straightforward question, raised by Cheryl Gillan MP on the 13th March in the House of Commons regarding HS2. The Minister who refused to answer the question was Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden in East Sussex. It then became clear that on Friday of this week there had been another question asked by Steve Bassam, Baron of  Brighton regarding a detail in Chris Graylings diary. This question was a repeat of a previous question that had been un-answered a week earlier by Baroness Sugg on the same day as Nusrat Ghani had un-answered Dame Gillans question. The two questions by Steve Bassam and lack of answers by Elizabeth Sugg are both shown above. The big question is how many times can these Ministers ignore reasonable questions before their Departmental team or even the whole of their Government needs to be dissolved because it is no longer fit for purpose!
