The 160,000 Tories who are in the process of voting for our next Prime Minister are faced with at least one candidate whose supporters and campaigners know he is not capable of delivering the three promises they are offering. That is unless they don’t understand the words in this poster. It is relatively easy for either Hunt or Johnson to move us out of the EU. Indeed even Theresa May could have done that without a deal. However she was not so stupid to do so. Taking us out without a deal will be a form of national suicide as businesses and many other people know. However as we know Johnson told both businesses and Northern Ireland to fuck off and so this is a good (or perhaps) bad starting point to question why his supporters believe that they can both leave the EU and in doing so achieve unity across our nation. The third element of course discloses how deceitful this nonsensical campaign approach is. Given that at the last General Election 12,877,918 people voted Labour (and only 13,636,684 voted Conservative) and given we have 65m people of whom around 45m are entitled to vote, it seems clear that defeating Corbyn and forcing us out of the EU without a deal will ensure that unity is not going to happen in a lifetime that Johnson will have. So anyone including Councillor Steve Bell, here in Brighton and Hove and Shailesh Vara MP in NorthWest Cambridge who are both willing to publish such a nonsensical image such as the one above and then refuse to explain how they think Johnson will achieve unity shows how lacking in credibility the Tory Party is.
