Its hard to understand how someone as out of touch with the reality of our nation as Johnson has become our Prime Minister. That only 93,000 people voted for him in one sense is not an issue. After all if he was the party leader prior to the General Election that elected his party, then his appointment would have come from the same number of voters. The fact that we would have voted for his party in more constituencies than any other party would mean he would be the Prime Minister. It would have then simply appeared as if he was being elected as Prime Minister! However anyone who gets to the door of No 10 Downing Street as a tenant rather than a visitor needs to be a credible and competent person. Yet 43 days into his role as Prime Minister, Johnson enabled himself to speak about Party Politics in front of young Police Force officers. One can imagine that if instead of fainting, one of them had demonstrated by their body language that they disagreed or agreed with his speech, that a number of newspapers and broadcasters would have then torn the situation apart and potentially wrecked the career of someone who in their working life could end up saving many lives and exposing numerous law breaks. The unique aspect of being a police officer is that their contract prevents them from ever declaring a party political interest. It is for this reason that unlike the American President, that British Politicians should never use public servants as the background image for their election campaigns or non election based, party political based speeches. What Johnson did yesterday needs to never happen again or else he will need to make his resignation speech following such an action.
