This question and answer exchange took place on Friday and makes it clear that the Conservative Party which has been in charge of our nation for nine and a half years is unwilling to seriously improve issues such as the disability equality training for taxi drivers. To suggest that such a matter will be introduced when Parliamentary time allows, given that Nusrat’s party claimed they needed a Queens Speech to enable them to introduce new ideas suggests that they had run out of the ideas they intended to introduce. The claim that they needed to shut down Parliament for 5 weeks prior to the speech was another example of how little time they are willing to focus on such matters. It seems clear that whatever question the Tories are asked to explain why they have failed to introduce important legislation, they will answer that when they have enough time they will do the right thing. They need to be removed from office and we need a new type of Governmental arrangement that focuses on important matters and avoids such appalling incompetence.
