The current action from the Government to control the Liverpool Council is an approach that many people are very appreciative about. However it is clearly not credible if the Government is willing to take over the control of Liverpool when its own credibility is deeply concerning. Given how appalling the action of Boris Johnson and some of his team are, they must surely be controlled in the same way as the Government is controlling Liverpool. We clearly need a process that works both ways.
