STEM events in Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham

On Monday in the House of Commons the Labour MP for Oxford East Anneliese Dodds wrote a question and the answer came back from Maria Caulfield who is the MP for Lewes and she is also a Minister for the Department for Business and Trade. The responses from Maria indicate that there are events in the North and Midlands – given that Anneliese and Maria are based in the South areas it would be very interesting for them to call for events to take place in their areas. Here is the question and answer that took place on Monday here. As it happens a few days ago I spotted a focus on STEM that was submitted from Scotland as well which can be obtained from here.

Anneliese: To ask the Minister for Women and Equalities, which employers are participating in the STEM returners programme.

Maria: Employer recruitment for the STEM ReCharge programme began in April and potential participants have been engaged through insight events held in Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham. The recruitment of employers will continue until 25 June 2023, and training will commence shortly after.
