Many of the events that took place yesterday and are taking place today in Sussex focus on the Sussex Day event which takes place on 16th June and other days. It is an annual period of celebrations and festivities across the whole of Sussex for businesses and residents. There is this link on Facebook and some of todays events are shown here in this photo. One of the other key themes in these events is for us to recall the recent death of Ian Steedman who organised the event a few years ago for West Sussex. Sadly he died age 74 on Monday February 6th but we should celebrate him for all he has done.

Along with Ian Steedman I have also had the privilege of working with Martin Ellis East Sussex in the past who promoted the Sussex Day session. I hope that today will be very exciting for many people based here in Sussex and that we can say hello to Ian Steedman.
