A few weeks ago we were announced that Caroline Lucas is stepping down as our MP at the next General Election. I had the privilege of meeting Caroline on a number of occasions and she has been a very significant MP for us. One of the three potential Green Party replacements is Emily O’Brien. I have had the privilege of knowing Emily in the past when she was working in a number of projects based in Brighton and Hove. I would be delighted for Emily to become my MP when Caroline does end her role as our MP. I encourage Emily to stand as the candidate. Here is one of her comments.
I’m honoured to be putting my hat in the ring for selection to the Brighton Pavilion constituency when the wonderful Caroline Lucas (my number one super hero politician) steps back.
It’s a daunting thought to step into those amazing Green shoes, but so many Brighton & Hove residents – my friends and family, work colleagues, Green Party members, people who live there- have told me I’d be a brilliant MP and a hardworking local candidate and that they want to give me their support and their votes.
Please have a look at my video to find out why I’m asking Brighton & Hove Green Party members to choose me
