Last night to mark the bank holiday weekend Brighton Pier, put on an awesome firework display on the seafront. By comparison to the one provided by the i360 a few weeks ago it seemed to be a first class compartment compared to a freight train from our vantage point 2 miles away. I confess that I don’t know much about fireworks even though the company I work for puts on displays throughout the year. The one element from last nights display that I found disappointing was the large number of audible explosions throughout the display. Because the displays we put on are son et lumiere or pyromusicals, I know it is possible to create explosions of light that are muted in sound terms. To the best of my understanding it is the sound of fireworks that upsets animals and setting off fireworks that seem noisy inside homes 2 miles away seems to be an unnecessary element of what was otherwise a beautiful display bringing a warm evening in Sussex to a great close.

Ian, you should come and live in Bexhill … You would fit right in with the senior citizens ! Quiet fireworks 🙄
Thanks Mr B, have they asked you to quieten down those sirens?
