One of the suppliers that we work with on a weekly and often daily basis is US owned and its European HQ is in the Netherlands. A visit this morning has revealed that as a result of currency changes between the dollar and sterling and the Euro, staff have been laid off in both the UK and Holland. The number of people affected is small, the impact on the individuals affected is huge. What a bad set of news for these people. All because of currency changes which have no doubt allowed other unseen people to create a lot of wealth for themselves!
