Its understandable that the Sussex MPs who are members of the Conservative Party have voted in opposition to many of the amendments for the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill. However several of these should have raised concerns amongst the MPs and at least one should have led them to oppose their party. Of course it is early days and they are needing to gain support from their whips such as Maria Caulfield, but the need for human support for unaccompanied children who are seeking asylum should be sufficient for any credible human being to set out and offer to help. Whatever happens as we leave the EU, it is vital that our nation demonstrates the ability to care for children fleeing warfare and attacks from their nations or their surrounding nations.
Perhaps apart from the Government puppets we could at the very least get an explanation from people like Caroline Ansell, Peter Bottomley, Andrew Griffith, Sally-Ann Hart, Gillian Keegan, Tim Loughton, Huw Merriman, Jeremy Quin and Henry Smith as to why they did not stand up against the evil intentions of their political party?
