It is very hard to avoid the challenge that our current educational situation is facing. However whatever the results the students and the teachers and administrative staff all deserve to be thanked for their hard work and their patience in a very difficult setting. Let us hope that for many of them the results will be very close to what would have happened if there had been no COVID experience. It is vital that the sense of confusion over the whole of the process will not prevent any of the students from being advised what to do and what to ignore if their results are not what they wanted. The teachers also need to thanked for all of their hard work in such difficult circumstances along with the people who helped to organise the results in a manner that in most circumstances will be effective. I work in a company that takes the view that qualifications are only one very small part of what is necessary and indeed we have recruited people with and without a whole range of different qualifications and so whatever the results today, there are a wide range of opportunities for people to move forward based on our experience.
