Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan

Over the last few weeks the Sussex Chamber of Commerce has been working incredibly hard to set out a meaningful Local Skills Improvement Plan for Sussex that will hopefully be accepted by the Department for Education. It has been very challenging for us to achieve the activity in such a short time and we are now working towards the March deadline. It is vital for as many companies as possible to get involved in the focus over the next 12 weeks. I hope that a number of Small and Micro Businesses will be able to join us in the discussions and helping to form the proposals. The person who is the coordinator for this work is Claire Witz who can be connected at Claire@Sussexchamberofcommerce.co.uk and there is information here on the Chamber of Commerce website.

There is a significant number of educational and council agencies involved so the involvement by businesses will have a very positive impact on both the national approach and our local connection with educational agencies. It would be fantastic if we can use this opportunity to strengthen both our challenge to the Government and also our community provision.
